The shaded run takes place on two loops of the packed earth trail surrounding Elk Lake. Appropriate for athletes of all levels, it's a great workout and learning experience.
Based out of the LifeSport office. A new modern building situated not more than 100m from the start line, the Ultimate Camp is a great weekend of triathlon specific learning and training on the Ironman 70.3 Victoria course. Learning what to expect beforehand is like having a home field advantage. Included are lectures on race day nutrition, bike and run pacing, as well as coached sessions on the race course itself. There will also be two group open water swims; one at Thetis Lake and the other from the actual race start. The ever popular Thetis Lake Open water coached swim on Friday morning is the perfect opportunity to get in the lake in a controlled environment and mix it up with other swimmers away from the stress of competition. LifeSport is offering an optional lactate threshold test; a perfect opportunity for athletes to learn their bike heart rate and power training zones. Book an appointment Friday between 11:00am and 4:00pm.
