Rookie (Blue) Marathon

Award Winning Actress Completes Her First Marathon!

Canadian Actress Erin Karpluk, who is currently starring in ABC’s “Rookie Blue”, recently took on the goal of completing her first marathon.  Erin selected the BMO Vancouver Marathon where she would also represent the charity World Vision - a cause close to her heart.  Erin, who also won the Gemini for best Canadian Actress in her lead role of CBC’s “Being Erika”, sought out the help of LifeSport and coach Paul Regensburg to guide her through the training and race preparation strategies for her big day.   Not only did Erin finish the marathon feeling strong, she completed the 42.2 km journey in a fantastic time of 3:51 !  She also accomplished something that very few ever do in a marathon, a negative split (faster) for the second half culminating in a finish time that placed her in the top 20% of all of the runners (including the men).  Congrats Erin for representing Lifesport so well at the BMO Marathon!
