Kimberly Goodell

“TEAMWORK AND TRUST BETWEEN ATHLETE AND COACH CREATES OPPORTUNITY FOR GREAT ATHLETIC OUTCOMES.”

Kimberly has over 15 years of experience as a coach and a personal trainer. She has coached triathlon groups and Masters swimming in Chicago IL, Madison WI, Menlo Park CA and Boulder CO. As a strength coach, she trained the security team for a high profile Silicon Valley tech company and worked as a personal trainer at Stanford University. Kimberly is currently the head coach for the Swim and Dive team at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Kimberly is also an accomplished endurance athlete, reaching the podium 64 times in triathlon, road racing and open water swimming events. She has been racing both 70.3 and 140.6 distance as a professional triathlete since 2016 and competed in the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in 2021.

Some of Kimberly’s favorite moments as a coach are when athletes discover that they are stronger than they think they are – or they find that training can be more fun than they expected – or they realize that anyone can become an athlete.

“Teamwork and trust between an athlete and a coach is what creates opportunity for the greatest athletic outcomes. The most successful coaches know how to help remove barriers that don’t serve an athlete’s goals, while still providing a training environment with appropriate challenges and potential for growth.”

TESTIMONIALS

Randy, Colorado, USA

“I’ve been a lifelong endurance athlete competing in marathons, bike races, and duathlons at the national level. But with two (very tearful) failed attempts at learning to swim as a young boy, I never overcame a fear of being in the water. As I neared 60, I decided you’re never too old to learn to swim, in the back of my head, participating in a triathlon was the objective. Kimberly has been fantastic to work with as an instructor. She has a great system for building confidence and technique, a few small steps each lesson.”

Liz, Wisconsin, USA

“What great appreciation I have for Kimberly as a coach. I’m a “slow lane” kinda gal and initially had concerns about how I would fit in. Kimberly has renewed my love of swimming. She provides a workout tailored for every skill level; offers suggestions for improving stroke and performance in small, manageable chunks; and achieves the perfect balance of challenge without burnout.”

Joann, Wisconsin, USA

“I am SO pleased with Kimberly Goodell as a coach! She is encouraging while still giving excellent feedback and ways to improve. She is specific and takes the time to give each person individualized comments. A friend encouraged me to sign up and I am so glad I did. I just wanted to pass along some extremely positive feedback regarding Kimberly. She is exactly what I need.”
